This sculpture has a strong vertical, organic presence with a suggestion of a human body. The sweeping deep blue curved elements create movement around the wood, almost as if the suggested figure is being embraced or surrounded by waves. The three black spheres add a second visual rhythm and give the piece a slightly mysterious, almost celestial quality.
The piece feels contemporary without losing the character of the wood. I would describe it as an abstract figure caught between nature and constructed form.
