The inspiration for this work originates from the natural world, encompassing the organic forms of trees and the man-made structures of cell towers. As with my other creations, the concept for this piece emerged unexpectedly. I particularly favored the utilization of strips of various wood species that I had conveniently accumulated in my studio, including walnut, oak, and other options.
The composition was assembled spontaneously, resulting in a harmonious whole.
This piece serves as a maquette, destined to become a larger floor installation. I gained valuable insights into the challenges associated with constructing larger pieces and the logistics of their assembly. Although this process was novel to me, it naturally aligned with the ideas for a series I had not previously explored. The availability of the specific wood species in my studio guided the creative process.
