|Wood on wood base
|37”H x 16”W x 8”D
The strange unexpected twists and turns to this piece may leave the viewer puzzled by its representation. As if looking through a window seeing a dark moon rising in the distance. The negative space is neither symmetrical or planned. Is it a dark figure lurking in the opening, seeming to step through? There seem to be more questions than answers in this piece, made of redwood, both painted and natural. The ball is a reappearing presence in this artist’s work.
The piece is mounted on a base of Padouk wood. Other than the painted black, all the wood is finished in a clear resin polyurethane.
