This sculpture stands split, with two tall wooden forms apart, connected by two wooden dowels. The wood has been burned on the inside adding to the weathered piece, leaving a dark scar that runs vertically between the two halves. This charred interior stands out against the lighter finely finished outer surface, creating a sense of tension and balance.
It is meant to feel like two forces that were once one, now standing side by side with a narrow space between them. The gap becomes the real focus. It invites the viewer to ponder distance, resilience, and the quiet strength of standing after a fracture.
