Samurai

The inspiration for this piece came from combining a unique piece of Mango wood with a repurposed lens from a projection TV.  The lens was a gift, and the wood was from a local Carlsbad, CA wood importer. 

The sleek body made from the Mango, represents the flowing lines of a woman.  The swish piece of painted black wood was added for an interesting element of design.  I wanted a piece to slash through the upright piece mounted to a flat black base.
