This piece is one of my very favorites. It has a certain lightness free flow to it. I am not sure why I like this piece so much, maybe it is that flowing line, only broken by small orbs. The contrasts of the burnt blackness versus the almost white colored Cotton wood. There is a tension here between balance and imbalance. The piece feels as if it could lean further, yet it holds. The spheres act like markers, moments of contact or decision points along a path that refuses to be straight.
