Taken from a live edge slab imported from Mexico, shaving off sides of the piece, the human form presented itself as reaching out. The finished heart wood contrasts with the lighter rough natural sap wood. From the troubled times of the pandemic, the position of the sculpture seemed to fit the frustrations of the times.
