Most pieces are formed from milled
wood, as was the case with this multi piece freestanding form. The idea
for the form was sketched, and then each piece was cut and sanded
before the form began to take shape. There was no set form to follow,
but the pieces were put together much like an artist applies paint to a
canvas.
The title for this piece was taken
from the construction process.When all the pieces were finally put
together there was one final piece that just would not fit......the 13th
piece. |
