This is the first in a totem series focusing on a single piece of finely finished wood with an embellishment.  In this case, the steel orb lends movement to the stationary structure.  Parota or Guanacaste is grown in parts of Central and South America as well as parts of Mexico. This piece was purchased locally, and imported from Mexico.  It was cut from a larger slab, then cut into this unique shape.  The name is taken from the appearance of an eye looking down the rest of the piece.
