Carob is a rare wood, and it is known for its bright red color. This is what attracted me to this piece originally. Cutting out the parts of the wood that were distressed, this nautical form revealed itself. This was an older piece that was reworked in 2021, the base was changed and some other pieces cut off to give it a more free flowing look.
