This piece was actually a cut off of one of the Walnut figures that I have created. The thin piece on the left side is wafer thin at its smallest point. The negative space was expected, but the other figure looking up, with what appears to be a long pony tale, was a complete surprise. The fact that there are two figures in the piece gives it the uniqueness. The “live edges” of the Walnut were burned to give more artistic impact.
