Sometimes an artist is driven by the materials.  Some might say that is the benefit of a cluttered studio.  I have to admit I am guilty of both right now.  This piece is combining abstract with an architectural component.  It all started with 4×4 squares cut from a excess paint board that was built up over 5 years.  Then the challenge was to create a composition that was vertical and another that was horizontal.  Added components were put in to give interest and complete the composition.  This piece represents a turning of the page for me, to a more colorful palette.
